Lowe’s Protection Plans

Add the Lowe’s Protection Plan to your cart when purchasing a product online or add it at the time of purchase when shopping in store.

While benefits and service options vary by product, Lowe’s Protection Plans offer coverage above and beyond the manufacturer’s warranty, including power surge protection and reimbursement benefits.

Please refer to your product manufacturer’s user guide or manual regarding the details of the manufacturer’s warranty. Many of these also exist on your manufacturer’s website.

A limited manufacturer’s warranty typically only covers defects in materials and workmanship for a short time after the product purchase. Lowe’s Protection Plans include additional coverage and perks that not only start from the date of purchase but also extend well beyond the time when limited manufacturers’ warranties end. To request service or file a reimbursement claim online, visit claims.lowesprotect.com and enter the phone number or email address associated with your plan. Then select File a Claim for the product that you want to request service or file a reimbursement claim for.

Your protection plan won’t be canceled if you file a claim. Product coverage will end before the plan’s expiration if the product is replaced or if the total of any and all authorized repairs, parts, and other coverage and benefits exceeds the retail cost for the product (plus sales tax).

Lowe’s Protection Plans don’t have any deductibles or hidden fees, so you won’t have to pay a deductible for an approved claim.

On the date you purchase your Lowe’s Protection Plan, you can request a 50% reimbursement on the cost of performance and care items that help maintain your product. Filing for this reimbursement doesn’t qualify as a service claim, so you can still request the 30% reimbursement for no service claims.

When your contract expires, you can request 30% of the plan cost back if you never made a service claim for a repair on your major appliances, smart home appliances, mowers, snow blowers and snow throwers. 

Filing a 50% reimbursement for performance and care items doesn’t qualify as a service claim, so you can still request the 30% reimbursement for no service claims. To file a claim for this benefit, you must contact your plan administrator within 60 days of contract expiration by calling 1-888-775-6937.
