Cabinet Installation

Projects Lowe’s can’t complete during your cabinet installation include, but aren’t limited to, moving plumbing, doing electrical work, installing countertops and doing full remodels. Other installations will need to be purchased separately with the product.

Cost varies depending on several factors, including chosen cabinet manufacturer and door style, paint or stain, and more. Labor costs also vary by market.

It can take four to nine weeks from purchase to installation, depending on whether cabinets are stock or custom and the availability of Special Order items.

We can install cabinets throughout the house, including in mudrooms, laundry rooms and bathrooms.

Choosing Lowe’s installation requires you to pay for an installer to come out to measure your space. Our independent installers will take precise measurements during your in-home appointment and confirm them with the designer. The measurement cost is deducted from the purchase price.

Remove all contents from your existing cabinets and drawers, but don’t uninstall your old cabinets. Clear the countertops and remove all antiques, breakables and valuables from the area.

Cabinet Refacing*

Cabinet refacing involves replacing cabinet doors and drawer fronts and veneering the exposed surfaces of cabinets with a fresh, durable material while leaving the existing cabinet structure intact. New hinges, knobs and pulls are also included in this cabinet makeover. This process is cost effective compared to a full cabinet replacement and can be completed much faster, often in a matter of days.

Cabinet Repainting*

Cabinet repainting involves applying a fresh coat of paint to existing cabinets, including doors, drawer fronts and exposed surfaces, to give them a new look. It’s a more affordable option than replacing or refacing cabinets and can be done in less time. You can choose from a wide range of color choices to enhance the overall look of your space. Repainting also extends the life of your cabinets without the need for a complete overhaul.
