Once you have marked the lines on the vinyl plank, measure them again. Cross check with the measurements you had noted earlier. 

Use a pencil to draw lines where you plan to cut the vinyl plank. If your vinyl plank is of a darker shade, use a chalk to draw lines. Take the help of a framing square to precisely mark right angles for the corners. 

It is recommended to use your workbench when working with power tools. Clear any unwanted things from the work area.

Secure the vinyl plank on the workbench using clamps. Wear safety goggles and any other protective equipment suggested in the instruction manual of your power tool. 

Position the jigsaw such that the teeth are facing away from you. Ensure that the power cable is away from the work area. Turn on the jigsaw and cut along the marked lines. Use a little force to push the jigsaw ahead on the marked line.

You should get a fine cut along the marked lines on vinyl plank. If you notice any loose shards, use a utility knife to cut them and get a smooth edge.
