How to Lay Rubber Pavers: 9 Easy Steps

Rubber pavers are widely used today and are easily accessible. Installing rubber pavers can be done in a few easy steps. These steps are:

Things You Need to Look for When Installing Rubber Pavers

Several factors should be taken into consideration when applying rubber pavers. These include:

1. Prepare An Even Base

First, the base on which the pavers will be placed should be prepared and compacted appropriately. Even the slightest unevenness in the base will be reflected on the pavers; therefore, spending some time leveling and compacting the gravel base is advisable.

2. Divide The Work into Segments

Spread the adhesive across a 25 sq ft area and then pack it. Dividing the work into small segments will help you identify missed areas that are not as high as others before you go further.

3. Ensure Proper Interlocking

Connecting and interlocking the pavers ensures that the load is evenly distributed and there is no shifting. Make sure that you do not leave gaps between the pavers and use sand to fill any gaps that may be present after the pavers are placed.

4. Place Proper Containments

Lastly, it is advisable to lay containment edging around the perimeter before laying pavers. This prevents slippage or movement of the pavers at the outer edges or any expansion or contraction of the pavers installed at the edges. Also, check the slope and drainage, which are important when the garden is located outdoors. A 1-2 percent gradient ensures water run-off and eliminates rainwater accumulation on the rubber pavers.

Rubber pavers are easy to install by yourself and offer an easy way to improve the view. If you follow these steps well, you will have a paved new rubber surface lasting many years.
