Clean up the PVC pipe edges with a utility knife or file to ensure a tight fit.

Prime the edges of the T fitting components with PVC primer so you can cement them together. Don’t cement any other components if you want to be able to take the car wash apart for storage.

Draw a straight line down the 60-inch pipes. Mark every 4 inches and then drill holes. Do your best to drill straight holes. The straighter your holes are, the more evenly the water will come out.

Plug the ends of the 60-inch pieces to maximize the water pressure where the water sprays out. To do this, cut two 3-inch pieces off of the dowel rod and use silicone caulk to plug the ends.

After the pipe is prepped, assemble the car wash frame. After the build is done, it's time to accessorize. You can use mop heads, pool noodles and sponges suspended on strings to create the look of a real car wash. Let your creativity be your guide. If your kids are old enough to help, this would be a great time to involve them.
