Use Pavers to Create a Sitting Area
Set up designated zones throughout your yard to make it a functional and stylish space. Destiny (@sustainabledestiny) used square white pavers to create a sitting area around a firepit. Measure the area and lay out pavers with an equal amount of space between each one, adjusting as needed. Add small black stones to fill in the open areas. It’s not necessary to dig the pavers into the ground since the slightly raised edges help keep the stones in their place.
Use Pavers to Create a Walkway
Create a whimsical walkway in your garden with irregular shaped pavers like Mary (@stone_cottage_collection). Lay out your stones and find an appealing configuration. Dig out the dirt under each one so the paver sits flush with the ground. Add small ground cover plants between a few of the pavers. Over time the plants will fill in the gaps.
Use Pavers to Enhance Your Entrance
Take your entryway to the next level with a row of pavers, like Dan (@fortbanister). This is a great option for homes without a direct pathway from your car to your front door. It’s hard to get grass to grow in these areas due to heavy foot traffic, but a small row of pavers is a great solution. The pavers also help prevent dirt from getting into the house and make an attractive addition to your home's entrance.
Use Pavers to Connect Areas in Your Yard
Use groupings of different sized irregular pavers, like Larah (@larahinga), to create flow in your yard between different areas, like your pool and your lounge chairs. Besides a place to walk without getting your feet dirty, the pavers help connect the two areas together and make everything feel like one cohesive space.
Use Pavers to Extend Your Patio
Need more patio space? Adding pavers is a great solution. User @inspiredbyart12 placed pavers off to the side of the patio to extend the usable space. Add pea gravel to the middle and larger stones along the edge to keep the small rocks out of your garden beds. This easy fix more than doubles the patio and is a great place to grill and chill.
