Oriental poppies (Papaver) are long used by gardeners in a range of landscape situations. Planting poppies is simple and rewarding when their blooms appear. The clumps will become larger each year but will never be invasive. They can be forced indoors with special treatment. They also make for stunning cut flowers, but you will have to sear the ends of freshly cut stems with a match. As they have appeared on ravaged battlefields, they have come to symbolize death and rebirth. Papaver ruffled princess of orange, is a fairly new variety and distinct Cultivars. The variety has a upright growth habit, is somewhat vigorous and produces large orange flowers. What sets this variety apart from the regular orange Papaver is it's ruffled petals. A must have for collectors or poppy lovers.
