The new Z6F compression F connector is designed to simplify indoor RG6 Quad and RG6 coax cable to connector preparation. It is based on our best-selling RTQ design, with updates to addresses the time consuming and difficult challenges of preparing and terminating RG6-Quad cables in the field. The Z6F connector attaches to cables in just seconds with very little force and effort versus traditional Quad preparation methods. The process is simple: strip the RG6 Quad cable end with a standard 1/4 in x 1/4 in strip. Unlike traditional methods, do not fold down or remove the braiding or foil. Leave it in place. Inspect the white dielectric area and center conductor to ensure no braiding was wrapped around, or remains near the center conductor after stripping the coax. Move any wrapped braids if present. Insert the cable into the connector opening until the dielectric is flush with the base of the nut and the center conductor is exposed. Compress the connector on to the cable with a standard 21mm stroke length compression tool. This is the same stroke length as all IDEAL RG6/6Quad F connectors, so no new tool or adjustment is necessary. The time consuming cable preparation and excessive forces needed to fully push the connector on to the RG6 Quad cable are now a thing of the past. This connector is designed p primarily for RG6 Quad cables but is also compatible with RG6 cable this is not for use on Plenum rated cables. This design is intended for indoor connector use only. For weatherproof indoor/outdoor connectors use our XR RTQ connectors on the outdoor connections, and these connectors on the indoor connections in your installation.
