The GE Arc Fault breaker (AFCI) offers protection against both parallel and series arc faults as well as providing overload protection. The GE Arc Fault breakers are compatible with the GE PowerMark & new ABB ReliaHome series Load Centers. The breakers come with a trip window indicating trip status, tripping to center position. It also comes with an LED trip light indicating trip types: Parallel, Series or Overload. Arc Fault breakers help detect electrical arcs assisting in prevention of electrical fires. The arc faults can be installed on shared and mixed neutrals. The arc fault breakers are UL listed, cUL Listed, NEMA approved. They are for use with 120/240 VAC systems, and have an interuption rating of 10kAIC. It will accept AWG wire sizes of #14-8 copper and #13-8 Aluminum. The GE Q-Line arc fault breakers have long pig tails with tin plated copper stabs for increased corrosion resistance and have copper to copper connections offering superior connections. The GE Arc Fault breakers will be transitioning to ABB brand.
