Drip emitters precisely apply water to individual plants. They are especially useful in shrub areas with different size plants and random spacing. An advantage of drip emitters over drip emitter tubing with preinstalled emitters is that you can replace them with higher or lower flow emitters or entirely change the spacing as the landscape matures. These emitters do not include pressure compensation which makes them best-suited for drip manifolds. The 1/4-inch barb on the emitter inserts directly into the end of 1/4-inch drip tubing and you can then place the emitter at the perimeter of each plant. You can hold the emitter in place at each plant with a drip tubing stabilizer stake. Available flows are 1, 2 and 4 gallons per hour (GPH). Recommended operating pressure is 30 PSI. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.
