The Solid Mount is the ideal solution for anchoring grab bars to existing fiberglass shower walls where a gap between the shower and frame makes it difficult to have sturdy installations. It’s installed through the face of the fiberglass panel and uses a patented mounting assembly to attach to the stud, sealing the hole and offering a secure mounting surface for easy grab bar attachment. The Solid Mount can span a distance of 7/8-in to 2-1/8-in between the fiberglass surround and wall stud. After installation, the Solid Mount leaves a 3-in flat surface exposed where most standard grab bars with 2-1/2-in or 3-in mounting plates can be installed. This installation meets or exceeds ANSI and ADA requirements. The kit contains pieces for installation of one grab bar with two wall connection points, including (2) mounting devices, (2) spacers, (6) stainless steel screws, and (2) bolts and washers.
