Saskatoon Blueberry or serviceberry grows 15 to 20 feet tall, making it a great addition to the edible landscape. It has pretty white blooms in the springtime and attractive, dark green foliage in the summer. The leaves deepen to red and orange shades during the fall months. In the summer, it also produces edible, 1/2 in. round black berries that are tasty and sweet. Self-pollinating, however it produces higher fruit yields when two or more trees are planted together.
