Lemony Lace Elderberry produces big clusters of white flowers in spring before finely textured gold foliage emerges. As new growth starts, edges of leaves will be red before all the foliage ages to chartreuse. The red berries that emerge in fall make it a good addition to wildlife gardens and provides a pop of color. This North American native, deer-resistant plant has little to no maintenance required though it can be pruned to keep it smaller if desired.
