Pinkerella Hydrangea is a native cultivar that grows quickly and easily with very clean foliage. The blooms maintain a lovely color as they mature and even look beautiful when they dry out. In the Winter garden, they take on hues of wheat and tan. Pinkerella blooms on new wood, so it is best to prune back to a single set of buds in late Winter or early spring. You will have fewer flowers, but because energy was diverted back to the plant, the flowers will be even bigger and more impressive.
