Jersey Giant Hybrid Asparagus is a heavy yield variety that tolerates being grown in the mid-Atlantic down to Georgia and Arkansas. All spears must be harvested before the weather is warmer than 70°. Cutting the spears before they reach 5 inches tall will ensure sweet, tender flavor. Jersey Giant is tolerant of rust, Fusarium and crown rot. Sold in bundles of 10 bare root plants.

These are 1 year old bare roots, so only perform a limited harvest the 2nd year, and then by the third year the plants will be strong enough to be fully harvestable; Mow plants down after the foliage has turned brown in the fall
