Touch of Gold Holly is a new evergreen shrub from Southern Living Plants. It's highlighted by small, golden variegated foliage. The rounded, dense habit of Touch of Gold can be used in a similar manner to boxwoods or other small-leafed hollies to provide structure to landscapes. This holly matures to 2 ft. H x 4 ft. W in a rounded habit. They can be space closely and boxed off to create a low-growing hedgerow or they can be spaced further apart to let their rounded habit shine. Use it in place of traditional boxwoods or dwarf hollies to give your landscape a warm color contrast. Touch of Gold is hardy in USDA zones 6 to zones 9. It does well in part sun to full sun. If pruning, do so in early spring before the first flush of new foliage.
