Lime trees must be planted in well-drained, slightly acidic soil; Water deeply once per week if planted outdoors and and add mulch when planting in the landscape; In containers, water when the top of the soil is dry to the touch
Citrus trees don't like standing water, however, they will drop their leaves if left dry for too long; If planted outdoors, lime trees should be planted a little higher than the ground to prevent pooling of water around their base
