You've struck pollinator gold. Beautiful violet colored flowers distinguish this hybrid lantana. A butterfly banquet, flat clusters of showy, brightly colored blooms make the perfect feeding platform that butterflies seek out. A heat lover, trailing purple lantana is the plant to use for those hard-to-crack places where other plants have failed to thrive or survive. Will cover your bare hot spots with bright green foliage and butterfly-loving flowers, such as a mass planting on an embankment. Use on sun-drenched rocky hillsides, slopes, banks, borders, edgings or to quickly obscure utility boxes, irrigation controls, posts or curbs. Also a flowery gem in containers and hanging baskets or when cascading over retaining walls. Takes to pruning. Drought tolerant too, so water deeply but infrequently. Grows to 18 in. high and 2 ft. to 4 ft. W. Tolerates poor soils. Provide full sun. Flowers nearly all year, especially in frost-free areas.
