The Arke Kompact interior modular staircase line of products consists of staircase kits, additional risers, handrails, second side rails, balcony rails and safety bars. The Kompact kits are available in 29 and 35-in width and powder-coated in 3 colors – hi-gloss black, white and satin gray. The treads are manufactured from European beech wood, finished with a light natural stain and clear coat protective sealer. Its total flexibility allows endless configurations, with 1/4 turn or 2/4 turns (Kompact L or Kompact U) to fit any space. The going is adjustable between 7-1/8-in and 8-5/8-in for Kompact 29 and 8-5/8-in and 10-1/4-in for Kompact 35. Safety bars – required by some municipalities - are available in a set of 12 to close off the back of the treads (creating a 4” maximum gap).
