BEECK Calcidan Limewash is an easy to use marble lime paint, slaked for many years, with excellent breathability and good hiding power for interior and exterior lime-compatible substrates. Suitable substrates include absorbent brick, stucco, lime plaster, cement and other absorbent mineral surfaces. Calcidan is formulated for easy use with optimum wipe resistance and the best possible weather resistance, with mold resistant properties due to its natural alkalinity. Calcidan produces the typical aesthetic properties of historic limewash, and is reversible in the interests of historic landmark and listed building conservation. It does not form any vapor barrier, even after repeated applications, and due to its unrestricted open-pored property.

For use on bricks, stucco, masonry and other lime compatible surfaces, UV stable, best applied using a BEECK mineral paint brush, brushing in an “X” pattern
Apply to a damp surface in thin coats, allow adequate drying time between coats for best results, with decorative finishes possible from a variety of application methods, by distressing or artificially weathering the surface
Lime settles to the bottom of the pail; it is important to stir well before and during the application process
The chemical carbonation process produces a low-tension limewash coat with mold resistant effect due to its natural alkalinity, reversible in the interest of historic structures
