Ostrich Fern, with its tall and featherlike fronds, adds movement, texture and color to woodland and shade gardens. Growing 4 to 5 feet tall, Ostrich Fern has delightful light green leaves that form a graceful arch. Unlike some shade plants, Ostrich Fern will tolerate some sun, but needs average to moist soil. Whether used in borders or as a background, ferns enhance any garden with their gracefulness and their beautiful, varying shades of green. They're deer resistant and easy to grow almost anywhere. They thrive even when other plants fail.
