Sweet Hips Rose represents a significant improvement on traditional Rosa Rugosa-types. Growing 4 ft. to 6 ft. tall, with a spread of 6 ft., this tough, hardy, disease-resistant plant is basically a no-care perennial shrub. In early summer, it boasts tons of single, bright pink, larger-than-normal blooms. A repeat bloom occurs in late summer to early fall. The attractive hips are much sweeter and more flavorful and they can be harvested any time after they have colored. Enjoy the hips fresh, frozen or dried. Or use them to make jelly, syrup, candy or tea.
