The Ruby Loropetalum plant produces pink fringe/ribbon flowers clusters that open up throughout the year. In Spring, the blossoms are the most plentiful. The purple/burgundy leaves will add aesthetic character to most any corner of your yard. A Loropetalum plant needs a hole twice as wide as the pot. If it is planted directly in the ground, prepare the hole as recommended. To ensure optimal growth, mix rich garden soil with your native soil, then leave the top of the root ball 0.5" above the ground level. Use a slow-release, granular fertilizer in the Spring. To create a dramatic effect, position a few of them in a group to make a border, hedge, or a backdrop for other pieces. This live plant reaches 4-6' tall to 4-6' wide. Keep it watered twice a week for best results. ---------- This item includes Two 2.5 Quart Ruby Loropetalum (live plants) in plastic pots with soil. The pots will be wrapped in a poly bag to retain moisture and hold any soil that shakes lose in shipping. The plant will be shipped in a cardboard box that has been designed to hold the plant in place to reduce any chance of damage in transit. As soon as the plant arrives it should be unpackaged, un-bagged, and watered. --------These plants ship from the Gulf Coast of Alabama. We recommend that customers outside of the southeastern United States order during the milder times of year (Spring/Fall) to prevent heat/cold stress during transit.
