Native to West Africa from Nigeria to the Congo, Greendigs™ Snake Plants are also commonly known as St. George’s Sword and Mother-in-law’s tongue. The snake plant is a forgiving, low-maintenance plant that’s great for beginners. As semi-succulents, they thrive in low humidity environments and varied light settings. So, it’s actually better to let the soil your snake plant lives in get a little bit dry in between waterings. Though lots of sunshine is ideal, snake plants will adapt well to low light and artificial light settings. But bright sunlight is most similar to the arid, sunny environments where snake plants naturally grow and they will flourish better in that type of environment. The most amazing thing about snake plants is that, unlike most indoor houseplants which release oxygen during the day, they release oxygen at night. So it's often recommended to place these plants in your bedroom or other sleeping areas.
Greendigs™ Snake Plants are forgiving, low-maintenance plants that can thrive in many different light settings making them great for beginners and for office spaces and meeting rooms as they don’t need daily care
If you’re looking for an indoor houseplant that’s as stunning to look at as it is simple to care for, the snake plant is “the one“ – with two-tone leaf design and striking vertical grow pattern adding dimension wherever they grow
Our traditional ceramic containers come in classic matte black or white, and two sizes for table or shelf: 7-3/4“ tall and 7-1/4“ wide or 5-3/4” tall and 5-1/4” wide, both equipped with saucers to keep your surfaces dry
A very hardy indoor houseplant, snake plants prefer their soil to dry out between waterings and, while they’ll grow fastest per year in bright light, they adapt well to low light settings but will grow much slower
Greendigs™ invites everyone to bring nature home--whether you're a plant enthusiast or brand new to the growing lifestyle, we want to help bring your space to life and believe that green and growing is much more than a hobby, it's a lifestyle
