Forever Pink Hydrangea is prized for the pastel pink color its blooms take on in slightly acidic to alkaline soils, so it's excellent that-as the name suggests-this variety is colorfast. Its blooms can be used as sweet fresh cut flowers, and for a longer display indoors, you can dry bloom heads. Lovely en masse or along a shrub border. Compact enough to be a patio plant. This hydrangea has no serious insect or disease issues. If you want to get that pretty pink color, but your soil isn't quite alkaline enough, adding lime will help. Blooms are more blue colored in highly acidic soil.
