Red Haven Peach has become themost commercialized peach because it was the first peach of the season that was used for canning. The fruit is firm and sweet with yellow flesh and is freestone when fully ripe. Red Haven is resistant to Peach Leaf Curl and Bacterial Leaf Spot providing all the attributes needed for a superior backyard peach! Developed in Michigan in the 1950’s, it is cold hardy to USDA zone 5. 900 chill hours required and fruit is harvested in late June. Self-pollinating variety. Reaches 12 to 15 feet tall when mature.
