Summer Gold Flowering Dogwood is a tree for all seasons. in mid to late spring, creamy white flowers appear against an incredible backdrop of golden-edged leaves. By midsummer, the leaves have developed stripes and splashes of pink. By late summer and fall, with the white blossoms only a memory, the leaves turn a vivid red. Summer Gold has a compact growing habit, reaching only 8 ft. to 10 ft. when mature and spreading 4 ft. to 6 ft. As a smaller ornamental tree, it does well as a focal point near an entrance or as a striking standout in a border.
