Pixwell Gooseberry bears fruit that is soft, juicy and rich in sugar. Plants begin bearing big green berries in their second year, yielding 4 to 6 quarts a year at maturity. Perfect for pies and preserves, the berries ripen to pale pink. Fruit hanging in clusters and glossy dark green to purple foliage make the Pixwell a lovely ornamental, as well. Plants are self-pollinating.
