Welcome guests with this holiday coir doormat. Coir fibers used to make this mat are extracted from coconut husks, which are otherwise wasted. Each mat uses fiber from about 16 coconuts. The fiber is converted to yarn and then used to make these versatile doormats. The backing for this mat is made of natural latex harvested from rubber trees grown in managed plantations. After making the plain mat, the design is hand-stenciled by craftsmen. The naturally resilient coir mat scrapes mud, sand, water and dirt off shoes and the natural latex backing is slip resistant and durable. With natural coir and natural latex as main ingredients, this is a sustainable and highly functional doormat. Shake or brush-off debris to clean. Place in sheltered area, away from direct sunlight and water. Some shedding of fibers is normal.
