The B-hyve Smart Flood and Freeze Sensor is engineered to detect water or temperature anomalies, send an alert to your smartphone or email, and trigger commands to turn off integrated B-hyve devices. It is part of the B-hyve Smart water management device ecosystem which includes smart landscape controllers, hose faucet timers, flow meters, leak detectors and mainline shutoffs. The very low profile of the detector allows it to fit under or next to basement windowsills, doors, refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, water heaters, toilets, sump pumps or other places where leaks might originate in a home. It is intended for placement indoors. Special capillary grooves in the bottom of the device wick water toward the sensor probes and, when water concentration is sufficient to close the circuit, the B-hyve server sends a flood alert and shuts off any B-hyve or Guardian devices which you specify.
