Mexican Feather Grass has tan tips that look like whispy strands of silk and bright green fine-textured foliage from planting through first frost. These golden strands and thin stalks of green provide great movement when they dance and wave from catching even the slightest breeze. It is not recommended for California gardens, where it has been identified as invasive. When the grass turns completely brown at the end of the season it can be removed either immediately or in the spring.
