Rubber-Cal’s Neoprene sheets are a tough synthetic rubber material that is ideal for industrial applications. Neoprene rubber, also called by its chemical name chloroprene, was developed by DuPont in the 1930s to meet the demand for a rubber sheeting with chemical resistance. While other synthetic rubbers may degrade quickly under intense physical conditions, this rubber neoprene is designed to endure. Our sleek, black neoprene is actually an artificial rubber compound, made with a 10% elastomer neoprene base and a blend of styrene butadiene rubber and chloroprene rubber to give it the strength of both rubber materials. This mix of synthetic elastomers gives the neoprene sheets moderate resistance to oils, chemicals, and many damaging effects of weather. The result is a smooth and solid neoprene that is highly desired for commercial and industrial applications.
This versatile neoprene compound is a mix of Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) and Neoprene
Offers moderate resistance to some oils, chemicals, abrasions, and weathering effects
Performs well in temperatures from -20°-212° F, making it great for industrial applications
The 50A durometer gives this soft rubber material a firm surface with excellent pliability
1/16-in is one of the thinner options of 10 available gauges and works best in detailed applications
