SharkBite Max push-to-connect check valves prevent the reverse flow of water into your home. A newly designed stainless steel collet retainer delivers additional strength and durability and provides a 250 psi pressure rating. SharkBite Max fittings and valves don’t require a PEX tube liner and a re-engineered body allows you to insert the pipe using less force and greater ease. The single lever quarter turn handle allows for quick control over water flow, especially in tight spaces. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools required. After inserting the pipe (arrow on fitting indicating flow direction), stainless steel teeth bite down and grip the pipe tightly while a specially formulated O-ring compresses around the pipe to create a watertight seal. The valve can be rotated after installation for quick adjustments, and removing the valve is just as fast with a disconnect tool, allowing them to be changed or reused. (SharkBite push-to-connect fittings are the fastest when compared to other conventional plumbing methods. All other comparisons relate to first generation SharkBite push-to-connect products.)
