Welcome guests with this contemporary coir mat inspired from traditional southwest designs. An excellent way to bring that western, rustic or native American feel in to your home, irrespective of where you live. It coir fibers used to make this mat are extracted from coconut husks, which are otherwise wasted. Each mat uses fiber from about 16 coconuts. The fiber is converted to yarn and then used to make these versatile doormats. After making the plain mat, the design is hand-stenciled by craftsmen. The naturally resilient coir mat scrapes mud, sand, water and dirt off shoes.
