Tekton 1/2 inch drive ratchets have a 90-tooth gear that produces a working swing arc of 4 degrees. Our low-profile head is reduced in every dimension: height, width, and length to increase access. The classic non-quick-release drive tang retains sockets with a spring-actuated detent ball—push the sockets onto the ratchet and pull to remove them. This release style gives the ratchet a flat back without any protruding release lever for best clearance. The sleek handle has a finger groove with pronounced interior edges for traction and control for any hand placement. Tekton ratchets meet (and most far exceed) the industry standard for proof torque, a measure of strength verified by a single-cycle test that applies torque until the specified value is reached without failure or any permanent deformation.
90-Tooth Gear – Our fine-tooth ratchet requires only a 4-degree swing arc
Single, Half-Moon Pawl – Maintains 9 teeth engaged with the gear at all times, ensuring that it won't slip or skip under stress
Ultra-Compact Head – We reduced the size in height, width, and length
Non-Quick-Release – This classic release style offers a completely flat ratchet back for clearance
Contoured Handle – We designed our polished handle with intentional finger grooves for comfort and control
