Tekton 3/8 inch drive flex head ratchets have a 90-tooth gear that produces a working swing arc of 4 degrees. The single half-moon pawl maintains 9 teeth engaged with the gear at all times, ensuring that it won't slip or skip under stress. The quick-release drive tang retains sockets with a spring-actuated detent ball—press the release button to easily add to or drop sockets from the drive tang. The flex head sweeps through 180 degrees, snapping to nine different detent angles to reach around obstacles. A spring-actuated pawl engages with well-defined teeth to hold the head in position. The handle is bent 20 degrees, making it easier to reach around obstructions. Unlike conventional "low profile" designs that focus on controlling only the thickness of the head, we reduced the size in every dimension: length, width, and height. Tekton ratchets meet (and most far exceed) the industry standard for proof torque, a measure of strength verified by a single-cycle test that applies torque until the specified value is reached without failure or any permanent deformation.
180º Flex, 9 Positions – The flex head sweeps through 180-degrees, snapping to nine different detent angles to reach around obstacles
Ultra-Compact Head – Unlike conventional "low profile" designs that focus on controlling only the thickness of the head, we reduced the size in every dimension: height, width, and length
90-Tooth Gear – Our fine-tooth ratchet requires only a 4-degree swing arc
Single, Half-Moon Pawl – Maintains 9 teeth engaged with the gear at all times, ensuring that it won't slip or skip under stress
Sleek, Comfortable Handle – The handle's finger groove has pronounced interior edges for traction and control for any finger placement
