Tekton T-handle keys are made the same way as our L-keys with the addition of a molded handle that makes applying torque easier and more comfortable. They are made with 8660 nickel chromium molybdenum steel that's heat-treated to 54–58 HRC to produce tools that are hard, but not brittle. The handle's large, contoured shape is designed to fit your hand and make it comfortable to spin the tool and apply torque from various positions. We precisely manufacture our hex key geometry on the large end of the applicable range, resulting in less slop in fasteners. We measure our hex key tolerances in two ways, from point-to-point and side-to-side, to ensure the highest standards of dimensional accuracy and consistency. With the exception of the smallest sizes, Tekton T-handle keys have slightly chamfered edges and a smooth top face to optimize engagement with fasteners. We coat all of our keys with a durable manganese phosphate finish that's resistant to corrosion. The size is marked in three ways: with a high-visibility laser marking, a stamped marking (except the 2 mm key, which is too small to stamp), and a painted inset marking that can't wear off. The included 18 gauge stand is designed to guide each key into its slot, making it easy to return your tools to their places.
