Tekton Universal Joint 6-Point Impact Sockets have a compact design for tight spaces. The joint of the socket rotates smoothly and continuously at up to a 30-degree angle. Our solid ball-and-socket style joint is stronger than joints that use pins. The 6-sided ball operates more smoothly than 4-lug designs. The socket base is made from 4140 chromium-molybdenum steel, and the ball/socket piece is made from 8660 nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel. Both pieces have a corrosion-resistant manganese phosphate coating. The socket comes pre-lubricated with SuperLube Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease (NLGI 2) with Syncolon (PTFE). Maintain the lubrication using this grease or a comparable grease as needed to reduce wear over time. The 6-point socket opening provides an exact fit and maximum contact for hex fasteners. Radiused corners prevent fastener round-off by applying force to a fastener's flat sides, rather than its corners. The socket size is marked in two ways on every socket—both as a high-visibility laser marking and a permanent stamped marking. Smooth walls and a detent pin hole allow the socket to work with both friction ring and detent pin anvils.
30-Degree Working Angle – The joint rotates smoothly and continuously at up to a 30-degree angle
6-Sided Pinless Joint – Our solid ball-and-socket style joint is stronger than joints that use pins, and the 6-sided ball operates more smoothly than 4-lug designs
Two Size Markings – The size is marked with a high-visibility laser marking and a permanent stamped marking
Works With Friction Ring or Detent Pin Anvils – Smooth walls inside the drive end and a detent pin hole make the sockets compatible with both drive tool anvil types
Corrosion-Resistant – The socket is coated with a manganese phosphate finish to resist corrosion
