The Louisiana Iris is native to the southeastern United Sates but is proving to be highly adaptable to other climates, soils and cultural practices. Aptly named for its region of origin, this species grows in swamps, along riversides and damp hillsides. They will tolerate a wide range of moisture conditions, as long as they get at least an inch of water per week. Louisiana Jack Attack delivers a lot of wow with its striking color and impressive flower size. Ruffled, wine purple flowers with green foliage. Grows in wet areas where other plants will not grow.
