The Sandusky Lee PC40 is an 18 gauge steel safety cabinet with two doors, two vents, three galvanized steel shelf, and a 40 Gallon capacity suitable for storing safety cans containing flammable liquids. This cabinet has a double-wall 18 gauge welded steel construction with 1-1/2 In. air space for strength and to help reduce the risk of fire. Gauge is a measure of thickness (the lower the gauge, the thicker the material). The cabinet comes with two 2 In. vents to allow internal vapors to escape. Each vent has a fire arrestor and cap to help prevent liquids inside the cabinet from igniting. Each shelf has a 500 lb. per shelf capacity, is made of galvanized steel for resistance to rust, dents, and certain chemicals, and adjusts in 2-1/2 In. increments to fit the height of stored items. The bottom surface of this safety cabinet can be used as a fourth shelf. The doors close manually and are attached to the cabinet with continuous piano hinges, which are more secure than typical butt hinges. The locking door handle has a three-point key lock to help secure contents and prevent unauthorized access. Two keys are provided for the lock. The door sill is 2 In. high to resist water and moisture. The cabinet has adjustable leveling feet for use on uneven surfaces, and has a powder coat finish to resist chipping and corrosion.
