Valve diaphragms are flexible components in an irrigation valve which, together with a valve solenoid, start and stop the flow of water. They are constructed from durable materials which ensure reliable operation in a wide range of water conditions. Occasionally debris can get stuck under a diaphragm, or the diaphragm can develop a tear, necessitating cleaning or replacement. This entails removing the top part of the valve and inspecting the flexible diaphragm. The table in the images identifies which replacement diaphragm fits each valve. Be sure to place the valve spring on top of the diaphragm before you reinstall the valve top. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.
