What does my dishwasher installation include?

Your installer will deliver your new dishwasher, disconnect your existing appliance, install your new dishwasher and make sure it’s working properly. They’ll remove all packaging from your home and clean up the work area. If you purchased haul away, your installer will haul away the old unit for disposal. Haul-away services may be subject to local disposal fees.

How should I prepare for my dishwasher installation?

Make sure your existing dishwasher is empty. Clear the area under your sink so the installer can access the dishwasher connections. Make sure there’s a path from the entry of the home to the kitchen that’s wide enough to accommodate the delivery of the dishwasher.

Required Parts

The new connector hose is sold separately; the item will be automatically added to your cart. The existing connector and cords can’t be reused.

Delivery

Delivery includes:

Unboxing and inspection of your appliance; confirmation of make and model
Inspection of appliance for visible damage
Removal of packaging from your home
Removal of your existing dishwasher if haul away is purchased (customers must uninstall and empty product prior to haul away unless installation is purchased)

Delivery doesn’t include:

Appliances purchased in a Lowe’s Outlet location
Basic installation; please see the Installation section below for more details

Please Note: Additional charges may apply for deliveries over 75 miles from fulfillment location, weight/dimensions, additional tools, trip permits and relocation of appliance. Delivery teams can’t connect appliances to copper waterlines.

Installation

Installation includes:

Connection of the appliance to an existing water source
Level and test of the appliance to ensure it’s connected properly
Connection of anti-tip bracket, if included
Basic product demonstration and testing of the appliance to ensure proper connection
Relocation of an old freestanding appliance within the same residence (reconnection not included)

Haul Away

Appliance haul away refers to the removal and disposal of old appliances.
Haul away is an additional cost during an appliance purchase. Just add haul away at checkout.
Appliance haul away or relocation must be one for one.
You must uninstall, empty and unplug appliances for haul away prior to the delivery team’s arrival (unless you purchased installation).
We won’t haul away a dishwasher if it’s still connected or a gas appliance if it’s still connected in a non-gas market.

Please Note: Product may be refused for haul away due to safety reasons (such as pest infestation). If a service call is required due to haul away and is not completed, the same restrictions apply as for normal deliveries.
