Lowe’s Incentivized Reviewer Program

Customers who receive an invitation to participate may receive a Lowe’s E-Gift Card for each eligible item they provide an honest, qualifying review (good or bad) for. To qualify, eligible product review must comply with Lowes.com Terms, follow Lowe’s Review Writing Guidelines, and include a: i) star rating; ii) written review, including a review title, description of at least 50 characters of what reviewer did and/or didn’t like about the product, and a “nickname” the reviewer wants displayed with the review. The review must be submitted within one week of the email invitation. Limit one e-gift card per eligible item/SKU, regardless of number purchased.

Customers are welcome to return their product according to our return policy if it doesn’t meet their expectations. Lowe’s Incentivized Reviewer Program is separate from the returns process, and it’s possible we may still contact you to write a review to get your feedback.

Lowe’s Review Writing Guidelines

Please focus your review on the reasons why you like or dislike the quality or experience you had with the item. You may include a photo or video with your review to help others understand why you love the item or show what you dislike.

You may not submit copyrighted images or other content unless you own the copyright to such content or have the express authorization of the copyright owner to do so.

Your nickname must be 4 – 25 characters (letters and numbers only, no spaces). For your privacy, we recommend not using your full name.

Product reviews must be written in English.

Please be sure to review only the item itself. If you have any site-related, customer services, shipping, or purchase issues or questions, please contact us at 1-800-445-6937. For any reviews you submit, you grant to Lowe’s a non-exclusive license, as set forth in our Terms and Conditions. Your review will be posted in 1 – 2 days. Any submissions that fail to follow Lowe’s Review Writing Guidelines won’t be posted.

Writing Tip

Make an impact with your review by answering four simple questions. Remember, reviews should focus on the product and your individual experience with it.

• Did the product help solve a problem, fill a need or fulfill a want? 
• How did your personal experience go with the product? 
• Expectation versus reality
• Mentionable features (e.g., durable, travels well, made with quality materials) 
• What did the product do for you? 
• Did it add convenience, style or comfort?
• Did it help provide a solution or increase productivity or efficiency? 
• What’s your honest verdict on the product?
• Who would be the best fit for this product? 
• What would you have liked to know beforehand about this product? 

Terms and Conditions

These Terms of Use govern your conduct associated with the Customer Ratings and Review service offered by Lowe’s (the “CRR Service”). To the extent of any conflict between Lowe’s Privacy Statement and these Terms of Use, these Terms of Use shall control with respect to the CRR Service.

By submitting any content to Lowe’s, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the sole author and owner of the intellectual property rights thereto; 
• All “moral rights” that you may have in such content have been voluntarily waived by you; 
• All content that you post is accurate; 
• You are at least 13 years old; 
• Use of the content you supply does not violate these Terms of Use and will not cause injury to any person or entity.

You further agree and warrant that you shall not submit any content:

• That is known by you to be false, inaccurate or misleading; 
• That infringes any third party’s copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights, or rights of publicity or privacy; 
• That violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising); 
• That is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, libelous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any individual, partnership, or corporation; 
• For which you were compensated or granted any consideration by any third party that is not badged as an incentivized review or part of a formal review program on Lowes.com or that is not disclosed in the first line of your review (e.g., “I received this product free from the manufacturer, but this opinion is my honest opinion”); 
• If you received any compensation, you may not leave a star-only rating, and you must disclose that you were compensated in your written review as mentioned above; 
• That includes any information that references other websites, addresses, email addresses, contact information or phone numbers; 
• That contains any computer viruses, worms or other potentially damaging computer programs or files.

You agree to indemnify and hold Lowe’s (and its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures, employees and third-party service providers, including but not limited to Bazaarvoice, Inc.), harmless from all claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, including reasonable attorneys fees, arising out of a breach of your representations and warranties set forth above, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

For any content that you submit, you grant Lowe’s a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and/or sell and/or distribute such content, and/or incorporate such content into any form, medium or technology throughout the world without compensation to you.

All content that you submit may be used at Lowe’s sole discretion. Lowe’s reserves the right to change, condense or delete any content on Lowe’s website that Lowe’s deems, in its sole discretion, to violate the content guidelines or any other provision of these Terms of Use. Lowe’s does not guarantee that you will have any recourse through Lowe’s to edit or delete any content you have submitted. Ratings and written comments are generally posted within 2 – 4 business days. However, Lowe’s reserves the right to remove or refuse to post any submission for any reason. You acknowledge that you, not Lowe’s, are responsible for the contents of your submission. None of the content that you submit shall be subject to any obligation of confidence on the part of Lowe’s, its agents, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners or third-party service providers and their respective directors, officers, and employees.

By submitting your email address in connection with your rating and review, you agree that Lowe’s, its vendors and its third-party service providers may use your email address to contact you about the status of your review and other administrative purposes.
