The Aquios® salt free water softener/filtration cartridge is the first all-in-one combination water filtration and water conditioning filter for the residential market. \N\NThe carbon block filter is rated at 5 microns, is designed to reduce chlorine taste and odor and utilizes a natural, scale reduction media that will prevent harmful limescale and iron stain from forming while also removing existing scale buildup. Our scale reduction media sequesters hard water minerals such as calcium, iron and manganese and prevents them from being able to create scale. It also will prevent corrosion of pipes and other metallic surfaces.
