Get to Know Your Bathtub Drain
1. Face Plate:
This plate covers the intake of the overflow pipe.
2. Overflow Gasket:
This gasket seals the overflow pipe against the outer wall of the tub.
3. Overflow Pipe:
This pipe redirects excess water in the bathtub into the drain, preventing overflow issues.
4. Waste Tee:
This piece connects the overflow pipe and waste shoe to a single drainpipe outlet.
5. Stopper:
This piece blocks the water inside the bathtub from draining through the drain assembly. Stopper styles include foot-lock, push-and-pull, lift-and-turn and trip-lever options.
6. Waste Shoe Washer:
This piece seals the waste shoe against the underside of the tub.
7. Waste Shoe:
This threaded inlet seals the drain strainer against the tub and diverts the water to the waste tee.
